Melita Mobile celebrates first anniversary
Melita Mobile is celebrating its first year of operation as Malta’s first third generation mobile

network.

Launched on 1 February 2009, Melita Mobile has since been driving change in Malta’s mobile telephony market by reducing prices and eliminating unfair practices which affected mobile users

negatively.

To mark its first year, Melita Mobile is inviting mobile users to send an SMS on 7711 7117 answering the question “Which mobile feature do you use the most and why?” The most creative answer wins an HTC Diamond 3G mobile phone. Each SMS costs 5c.

Melita Mobile’s Unlimited Pay Monthly Plans – M, L and XL – start from just EUR12 a month offering unlimited calls to all Melita Mobile and Melita fixed-line numbers, unlimited calls to a selection of numbers on other networks plus a generous number of free minutes to other networks and a free 3G mobile phone.

All mobile phone users who subscribe to the Best Value Pre-paid plan can now save even more money with 250 SMSs, 30 minutes of calls to any network and unlimited calls to the Melita mobile and fixed-line network for just EUR10 per month.

Melita Mobile removed time windows on pre-paid credit, absorbed VAT and Excise Tax on pre-paid credit, introduced per second billing and has introduced flat-rate tariffs both on pre-paid and post-paid.
